2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Dream Cruiser Series 1

This is where it started; the first Special Edition PT.  It arrived in dealerships in February 2002. Production started in January and was limited to 7500 copies in North America. This and the Dream Cruisers to follow payed specific tribute to the Woodward Dream Cruise held on Woodward Ave, Detroit.

The '02 Dream is painted Inca Gold, similar to the color of the Pronto Cruizer concept shown in 1998 in Switzerland. The color is Dream Cruiser specific, and is a chrome-yellow gold with metallic sparkles. Adding to the exterior embellishments is a "Dream Cruiser Series 1" chrome badge on the liftgate, and 16" chrome wheels with customized gold center caps & PT graphics. This is the first production PT Cruiser with body colored bumpers.

Inside, a special plaque underneath the window switch pod announces "Dream Cruiser Series 1" and marks the number of the vehicle. Inca Gold is found on the dash panels, seat and door inserts, and floor mats.

MSRP for the Series 1 was
$23,245 for the manual transaxle version and $24,070 for the automatic transaxle version (prices include $565 for destination).  Back to PT
